my tall tree stick

My neighbor and I have gotten the biggest kick out of these trees. They get leaves in the spring, grow like there is no tomorrow, and then in the fall one day lose all their leaves and branches. Then, all winter the stand like spikes. So, last spring I took a picture of my twig, then in the fall I took a picture to show how much it grew, and this weekend I took another as we get ready to go into spring and they are starting to get little leaves. It will be fun to see how much they grow this year.

science camp

What a fun experience. We got to have a massive snowball fight. That was a lot of fun. If I could give a tribute to these groups of teachers. They are the best. Elizabeth has the same teacher Stephen did. She is wonderful, one of those people that touches your life for a moment and stays in your heart forever. This group of teachers does so much. I have such a great appreciation for them. They prepare these kids so well for Jr. High. They are a group of people that work exceptional together and make this monumental year so special. I thank them for all they do, and for the effort that they put forth. You'll see how silly they are in this video of their skit. I dont think I could ever thank them enough. They are so wonderful. What a great week it has been. Mom flew in from Ca to be with stephen while I went to science camp with Elizabeth. I got to be her group leader and she was in my cabin. We arrived to it snowing and there was already 6-8 inches on the ground. We spent the first day outside while it snowed the entire day, most of which was blizzard conditions. It was COLD!!!!!! Lucky, we had come somewhat prepared. We managed to stay pretty warm. What a great experience. I got to be with her 24 hr.x3days. It is so different when you get to visit with them in their environment. Home really is my place, but at school with her friends......... It was a wonderful experience and so much fun to see my daughter in a whole different light.
